At Journey K9, we don’t train dogs in sterile facilities or on quiet acreage—because that’s not where you and your dog live. Our immersive two-week program is built around real-life environments and everyday challenges, blending in-home structure with community outings to coffee shops, patios, open spaces, dog parks, and indoor/outdoor malls.
Your dog will be safely exposed to our pack of balanced dogs, indoor cats, a toddler, and the normal distractions they’ll face in daily life: passing dogs on walks, barking dogs behind fences, squirrels, birds, bunnies, skateboards, strollers, and kids playing nearby. This creates calm, reliable behavior that transfers seamlessly back into your home and routine.
Below, you’ll find three program options designed to meet owners where they are—each built on trust, structure, and the gentle e-collar communication that Journey K9 is known for.
Two Week Day Train — The Complete Transformation
Two weeks. Lifetime support. One extraordinary transformation that unlocks a world of freedom and trust.
Week One: Home & Neighborhood Training
During the first week, your dog becomes part of a structured, busy home environment designed to mirror real life. They’re safely exposed to my balanced pack of dogs, two indoor cats, and a toddler, learning how to remain calm, respectful, and settled around a variety of natural household activity.
Inside the home, your dog practices holding “Place” and “Down” while life unfolds around them—doorbells ringing, meals being cooked, people moving through the house, and cats tempting their impulse control.
Daily neighborhood walks will set the stage for your dog to learn loose leash walking and a perfect “Heel” at your side. Your dog learns to do this while simultaneously navigating common residential distractions with confidence, such as passing other dogs on leash, dogs barking behind fences, squirrels, bunnies, bikes, strollers, and children playing at the park.
Back in the home and yard, your dog will master a bomb-proof recall, coming when called every time.
They will also learn to co-exist with my pack of balanced dogs, who model steady, polite behavior and help your dog hone their social etiquette.
Week Two: Community & Public Outings
With a solid foundation in place, week two focuses on taking your dog’s training into the community for higher-level reliability. We visit coffee shops, patios, dog-friendly stores, indoor and outdoor malls, open spaces, and off-leash hiking areas.
This week is dedicated to refining obedience around bigger, more complex distractions while building your dog’s confidence in busy public environments. Your dog practices settling at outdoor tables, navigating crowds, ignoring food on the ground, calmly passing other dogs, and adapting to new sounds, sights, and surfaces.
By the end of the program, your dog returns home calmer, more trustworthy, and fully prepared to handle the real-world environments you navigate every day—making life together easier, more enjoyable, and more connected.

One Week Day Train — The Jumpstart Program
One week. A powerful jumpstart to the freedom and confidence you’ve been dreaming of.
During this intensive one-week program, your dog receives the foundational training needed to navigate everyday home and neighborhood distractions with confidence.
Your dog lives in a structured, busy home environment, safely exposed to my balanced pack of dogs, two indoor cats, and a toddler. They practice holding Place and Down while life unfolds around them—doorbells ringing, meals being prepared, household activity, and cats tempting their impulse control.
Neighborhood walks reinforce focus outdoors, as your dog learns to remain calm while passing other dogs on leash, encountering barking dogs behind fences, squirrels, bunnies, children playing, and typical residential distractions. They also practice appropriate social etiquette with my balanced dogs as steady role models.
Dogs also practice building a reliable recall, consistently coming when called in the home and on neighborhood walks. Owners continue reinforcing this skill at home and in more distracting environments to ensure dependable responses.
Unlike the two-week program, community outings are not included. Owners are expected to continue practicing and reinforcing skills learned in-home and on walks to achieve the full real-world transformation. This program is ideal for dogs who need a structured jumpstart and owners ready to stay engaged in their dog’s ongoing progress.

⚠️ Please note: Dogs exhibiting aggression, severe fear or anxiety, or intense reactivity are not candidates for this program. These behaviors require a more immersive, hands-on approach like our Two-Week Total Transformation Program, where your dog can learn safely, calmly, and at their own pace.
